
An NBAAn executive shared a deeply emotional last message on LinkedIn on Friday before passing away from a rare condition.cancer at age 40.
Caroline Klein, the head of communications at theUtah Jazz, had battled Stage 4 Proximal Type Epithelioid Sarcoma detected in her lungs following the diagnosis in August 2023.
In a concluding statement onLinkedIn- titled "Remember me for the way I lived," Klein urged others to "chase every one of your aspirations with relentless passion.
"Each person has only one life, and it's up to you to make the most of it. Therefore, I urge you to view each day as an opportunity to truly live, rather than merely passing the time," she wrote.
Klein, who spent three years with the Jazz, was recognized as a 'Forty Under 40' recipient by the Sports Business Journal last year, and was described as 'one of a kind' by Ryan Smith, chairman of the Jazz's parent company, Smith Entertainment Group.
[His wife] Ash and I, along with the rest of the SEG team, will miss her every day. She left behind a message for us to read after her death, a meaningful legacy and a piece of her insight,' he said. Collaborating with CK was one of the greatest moments in my professional life. Her presence — and everything she contributed — we already miss you, CK.
