Hong Kong's Talent Battle Intensifies with 6,000 Job Seekers at Expo

With the same topic, "Gather in"Hong Kong, "Innovate for the Future," Season III explored a broader spectrum of industries. More than 40 top enterprises and organizations participated, including The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Hactl, CHUBB, PwC, HKT, Towngas, KLN Logistics Group, ZA Bank, PERSOL, and others. Almost 6,000 job applicants participated in the Expo, breaking the previous record from the last two seasons. The Right Honourable Mrs Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, Chairperson of the Executive Council and member of the Legislative Council, gave the opening speech. She emphasized the HKSAR Government's dedication to improving talent strategies and establishing a competitive atmosphere for local and international professionals. She also acknowledged the Expo as a significant component ofHong Kong'smission to position itself as a center for world-class talent, as well as "an invitation to opportunities" for professionals globally to discover endless prospects inHong Kong.

After the opening ceremony, the thematic seminar commenced with three roundtable sessions, focusing on improving commercial and logistics capabilities, promoting cultural-economic integration, and driving innovations in financial services. Senior government officials, industry leaders, and academic experts discussed and shared their perspectives on new industry trends and opportunities for talent development.

Furthermore, the Hong Kong Immigration Department organized a unique lecture aimed at attracting skilled individuals. Representatives offered in-depth insights into various Talent Admission Programs, including the Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS), the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS), and the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG). They outlined the criteria for qualification, the steps to apply, and the processes for renewing visas.

The Expo was jointly organized by the Hong Kong Quality and Talent Migrants Association, the Hong Kong Management Association, and the Hong Kong Economic Times. The Labour and Welfare Bureau and Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) acted as official strategic partners.
