East Hartford Animal Control shared on social media that a nearby resident spotted two squirrels sporting an unusual new 'paint job.'
One was coated in blue, while the other looked as if it had been drenched in red or pink.
Currently, authorities are searching for the unknown person responsible for the strange transformation of the town's animals.
Images depict the couple appearing unaffected by their striking new appearances as they searched through the area.
Animal Control mentioned that the squirrels seemed unharmed — they were simply much more vibrant in color than usual.
Nevertheless, they sought the public's assistance in gathering details about the 'squirrel vandalizer.'
