Ranvir Singhhas stated that she has been advised to step down fromGood Morning Britain following a speech about Tommy Robinson.

The ITVspeaker, 48, revealed this on the morning program on Tuesday and mentioned that numerous listeners had urged her to step down after she shared her opinions on the protests in the city center.London on Saturday.

The television personality had earlier met with some of the Unite the Kingdom protesters at her nearby train station and expressed her views on the demonstrations.

And joining Susanna Reid and Richard MadeleyIn the studio, she informed them that she had received numerous negative messages following her comments on the marches.

While engaging with the demonstrators, one of them informed Ranvir that he was concerned about unauthorized immigration.

The star from Lorraine also mentioned that she had been so worried about the protests that it altered her plans for her son's security and stated she didn't feel safe enough to enter London.

On the show today, Susana inquired with Ranvir regarding the feedback she had obtained.

The television presenter remarked, "There's been a lot of response, I'd say it's fifty-fifty."

50% of the hatred is aimed at me, with people wanting me to step down and similar things. This is what occurs when you voice your opinions on such matters.

But half of people are thanking you for expressing what they felt because it struck a chord. I just want to highlight someone named Wendy who messaged me and represents the large number of people in the middle, and I truly value her reaching out.

Wendy wrote to Ranvir in her message: "I saw you on TV; you were discussing the protest that took place on Saturday. I'm sorry you felt you couldn't do what you wanted that day. My husband and I attended the march on Saturday."

We simply want to state that we are not racists or far-right individuals. We are just a regular couple residing in West Sussex with our 21-year-old child. We do not follow Tommy Robinson, but he was the one who arranged the march. If it had been organised by someone else, we would have still attended.

"People have reached a stage where they are dissatisfied with the current state of the country or its direction. Indeed, they are unhappy about people arriving by boat, but even if these individuals were from Norwegian countries, we would still face the same issue," the message stated.

Ranvir then clarified that she had only intended to have a discussion, stating, "For me, that was the kind of conversation I was aiming for yesterday. There are many people who are simply feeling frustrated."

It's challenging for someone like me to voice opinions on sensitive topics since you often face a lot of negative feedback. However, it's worthwhile when hundreds of people reach out to you.

Many people expressed hostility by claiming it was a far-right gathering, but that's how we are characterizing it — the largest far-right rally organized in the UK during our lifetime.

She added that it's not her concern if many people dislike the label of a far-right gathering.

That's precisely the argument I was trying to make, that many individuals feel compelled to attend such events and follow figures they may not fully agree with because they're unsure where else to direct their concerns.

She had previously mentioned that the march made her "deeply uncomfortable," yet she did not wish to accept that 150,000 individuals were outright racists.

She mentioned that this was not something she had encountered in the UK, and it simply "didn't feel right" to her.

The ITV host's remarks follow Tommy Robinson's 'Unite the Kingdom' march, which saw between 110,000 and 150,000 demonstrators gather in central London on Saturday, considered to be the biggest right-wing rally in British history.

While the gathering started mostlycalmly as protesters expressed their frustration regarding freedom of speech and the UK's small boats issue, it suddenly turned violentwhen demonstrators and opposing protesters approached one another along Whitehall.

Senior officers from the Metropolitan Police criticized anti-immigrant demonstrators for exhibiting a 'completely unacceptable' degree of aggression - resulting in at least 25 individuals being taken into custody and 26 police personnel sustaining injuries, including four who were severely harmed.

The force reported encountering 'substantial hostility' from demonstrators while trying to manage the gathering, with numerous individuals attacked and pelted with projectiles.
